Men's Golf Take Third at Long Island Invitational 4/14/2024 12:38:00 PM When and Where: April 12-13, 2024 – Bellport, NY Result: The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.), men's golf team achieved a commendable third place at this weekend's highly competitive St. Joseph's Long Island Invitational. Top performers: Sophomore Bailey Meyer led The Golden Eagles with a total score of 165, scoring an 82 on day one and an 83 on day two, Good for a ninth-place finish overall Freshman Jace Pesce tied for second on the team, finishing with a score of 168, totaling 85 on day one and 83 on day two, Tying for 11th place Freshman Connor Riegel tied with Pesce in second with a score of 168, adding 86 on day one and 82 on day two, tying for 11th place overall Sophomore Nicholas Gentile rounded out SJLI's team with a score of 178, producing scores of 87 on day one and 91 on day two How it happened: The Golden Eagles finished with a team score of 679, recording 340 on day one and 339 on day two Notes: Sophomore Mike Welton competed individually, scoring a 112 on day one and a 99 on day two for a total finish of 211 Up Next: The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, April 15, when they travel to Manhattanville for a Skyline Conference matchup.
