January 25-26, 2025 – Skyline Championships (Purchase, NY)

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's swimming team competed at the Skyline Conference Championship Meet over the weekend. The Golden Eagles took home a fourth-place finish.

Top performers

• Monti finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:04.30 and took third in the 100-yard breaststroke clocking in at 1:09.65

• Monti secured second place in the 200-yard individual medley (2:16.52) and placed third 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.65)

• Monti recorded a time of 2:28.58, breaking another program record in the 200-yard breaststroke

• The relay team, consisting of senior Nicole Orellana, sophomores Alice Vasquez, Alexa Cassidy, and AvaGrace Monti, finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard medley, and 400-yard medley relays with times of 1:56.62, 2:11.43 and 4:55.29. The four also took fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:21.91

Notes

• Vasquez and Orellana placed 10th and 11th in the 200-yard freestyle finishing 2:32.18 and 2:35.10, respectively

• Cassidy finished sixth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:38.29

• Cassidy and Vasquez competed in the 500-yard freestyle with times of 6:47.00 and 6:50.17, respectively
