New York, NY| Four Golden Eagles recieve top weekly honors and two landed on the honorable mention. From women's swim, senior AvaGrace Monti lands Swimmer of the Week for a third time this season and freshman Aubree Wessel was named Rookie of the Week. Sophomore Joshua Guerrero from men's swim was named Swimmer of the Week. Men's basketball sophomore Jaiden Gaston received Rookie of the Week.

Additionally, men's basketball junior Kenny Rodriguez and women's basketball sophomore Madelyn Barone were named to the weekly honorable mention.
 

AvaGrace Monti (Sr.) - Women's Swimming Swimmer of the Week

St. Joseph's-Long Island senior AvaGrace Monti dominated the Golden Eagles' midweek victory over Brooklyn College, sweeping all three of her individual events. Monti touched first in the 200-yard IM (2:23.22), the 100-yard butterfly (1:06.65), and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.69), powering SJLI to a strong 104-90 win.

Aubree Wessel (Fr.) - Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week

Wessel continued her impactful debut season with a pair of top-three finishes in St. Joseph's-Long Island's win over Brooklyn College. Wessel claimed victory in the 100-yard backstroke (1:10.92) and added a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (29.31) to contribute key points for the Golden Eagles.

Joshua Guerrero (So.) - Men's Swimming Swimmer of the Week

Guerrero claimed first place in the 100-yard butterfly (1:06.60), while also helping SJLI to a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:59.38) and a third-place showing in the 200 freestyle relay (1:54.55).

Jaiden Gaston (So.) - Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Gaston averaged 14.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 steals, while shooting 41.7% from three as SJLI went 1-1. Gaston scored 16 points with three triples against nationally ranked No. 23 Drew, then added 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a win over York.

Kenny Rodriguez (Jr.) - Men's Basketball Honorable Mention

Rodriguez posted back-to-back double-doubles, averaging 17.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the Golden Eagles. He totaled 16 points and 11 boards against No. 23 Drew before following with 18 points and 13 rebounds in a win over York

Madelyn Barone (So.) - Women's Basketball Honorable Mention

Barone turned in an efficient scoring performance in SJLI's win over Yeshiva, posting 18 points on 8-of-16 shooting along with four rebounds and a steal. Her interior finishing helped the Golden Eagles control the paint throughout the contest
