The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's tennis team earned its first win of the 2025 season with a 5-2 victory against John Jay College on Thursday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the match taking two of three in doubles play. Freshman Tim Celone and junior VIncent Engel came away with a 6-2 in #2 doubles while graduate student Ryan McNeely and sophomore Chris Lally shut out their opponents in the third flight

Engel was first to finish in singles play with an 8-2 win in the fourth match

Lally came out of #6 singles unscathed with an 8-0 win

Sophomore Nolan Knipfing finished with an 8-3 victory in the second flight

Celone rounded out the winners taking an 8-5 finish in #3 singles
