The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's and women's cross country teams hosted the Golden Eagles Invitational at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York on Saturday morning.

Top performers

• Junior Ryan Steinberg was the top finisher on the men's side for the Golden Eagles, placing sixth with a time of 28:59.6 
• Sophomore Evan Skoblicki followed right behind Steinberg with a time of 29:04.9
• The women's team was led by freshman Elizabeth Kurka, who placed 10th with a time of 21:23.1

How it happened

• The men finished first out of the 16 teams that competed, four of them which are Skyline Conference opponents. 
• The women collected 186 points and finished ninth overall out of the 15 teams that competed, and placing second among the four present Skyline schools.
