The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's tennis team earned a decisive 6-1 victory over York College in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened:
- After dropping the opening match at #1 doubles, St. Joseph's responded by taking the next two doubles flights to secure the early point. The tandem of Nolan Knipfing and Anthony Flaacomio cruised to a 6-1 win at #2 doubles, while Tim Celone and Gavin Hughes matched that score with a 6-1 victory at #3.
- Leading 1-0 entering singles play, the Golden Eagles dominated the lineup, winning five of six matches in straight sets. Knipfing set the tone at #1 singles with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win, while Chris Lally followed with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #2.
- Flaacomio added another strong performance at #4 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1, and Vincent Engel controlled play at #5 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Hughes rounded out the scoring with a 6-2, 6-0 win at #6 singles.
- York's lone point came at #3 singles.
