NORMAN, Okla. – Senior Bailey Meyer and sophomore Chase Zere of the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's golf team have been named to the 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for NCAA Division III, announced by the GCAA Monday afternoon. 

Meyer was a key contributor to the Golden Eagle's second place finish in the Skyline Conference Championship where he carded an 80 (+8) in the opening round and an 85 (+13) on day two for a 165 (+21), tying for 14th overall. Earlier in the year the Manorville, NY native led the Golden Eagles to a first place victory with a score 74 (+3), taking second place overall at the SJLI Tri Match. At the St. Joseph's University L.I. Invitational, Meyer tied for second place overall with a score of 79 (+8), helping the team place first. 

Zere helped guide the Golden Eagles to a second place finish at the Skyline Conference Championships with a score of 74 (+2) on day one and 83 (+11) to take eight place. The Ronkonkoma, NY native had a fifth place finish earlier this year with a score of 80 (+9) at St. Joseph's University L.I. Tri Match where the team took first. The Skyline All-Conference Second-Team recipient and Skyline Player of the Week had a first place finish this year at St. Joseph's University Long Island Invitational to lead the team to a first-place finish posting a score of 72 (+1). Zere tied earlier this month with teammate Gentile at the Farmingdale State College Invitational, 77 (+4), as the team took second place overall.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
