Uhl arrived in Patchogue after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Waynesburg University where he was responsible for all recruiting of prospective student-athletes. During his tenure, the Yellow Jackets posted its best season since 2015 while reaching the PAC Tournament Semifinals. Prior to Waynesburg, Uhl had stints at Cal Lutheran University (2017-19) and Centenary University (2016-17) both as an assistant coach. No stranger to the Skyline Conference, Uhl graduated from Mt. St. Mary College in 2014 with a B.S. in Communications and Journalism. As a member of the Knights, he was part of a 2012 team that won the ECAC Championship and led the team in three-point shooting percentage during the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons. A Long Island native, he graduated from Comsewogue High School where he was a four-year varsity player and a 1,000-point scorer en route to becoming an All-Section XI selection.
