NEW YORK, NY – Defending champion Mount Saint Mary is the top seed for the 2012 Skyline Women's Basketball Championship after capturing the regular season title with a 13-1 record.

The Knights (22-3) have won seven consecutive games and are led by senior guard Jen Mocanu, the league's leading scorer (17.4 ppg.) and Most Valuable Player of the 2011 Championship. Farmingdale State (14-9/12-2) earned the No. 2 seed and handed Mount Saint Mary its lone defeat in Skyline play, 56-45, on Jan. 28. The Rams seek their second conference title in three seasons.

The four-team Championship commences on Thursday, Feb. 23, as Mount Saint Mary hosts No. 4 St. Joseph's-L.I. (13-11/7-7), while Farmingdale State hosts third-seeded Old Westbury (18-7/11-3), which has won 13 of its last 14 contests.
