Box Score Old Westbury, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team scored in each half of Thursday evening's Skyline Conference battle with Old Westbury en route to a 2-0 victory on the road.
The Golden Eagles even out at 4-4 on the season, 2-0 in Skyline action. The Panthers slip to 3-9 overall, 1-3 Skyline.
Junior Christina Gagliardi added to her team-leading goal tally in the 15th minute when she took a pass in the box from senior Rebecca Walsh and found the back of the net
The score remained 1-0 until Gagliardi set up junior Claire Brady in the 63rd minute to move the score to its final 2-0.
SJC outshot the home time 30-9 and held a 6-3 corner kick advantage.
Junior goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo finished with three saves on the night to record her third shutout of the season. OW's Alexa Higgins came away with 10 saves.
The Golden Eagles return to Danzi Stadium on Saturday, October 6 when they host Mt. St. Mary College in a Skyline Conference match-up. Game time is slated for 6:00 pm.
