Newburgh, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team secured a 7-2 Skyline Conference victory over Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, NY on Saturday afternoon, moving its overall season record to 7-2 and its conference mark to 4-1.

SJC swept the doubles matches, posting 8-5, 8-2, and 8-6 victories at first, second and third doubles, respectively. Mackenzkie Martocci and Alana Caporale made up the second doubles tandem that secured an 8-2 win.

Caporale went on to dominate her fifth singles contest with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, Nora Burnett was impressive in a 6-2, 6-1 second singles win, and Martocci was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at third singles.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, October 15 when they visit St. Joseph's College (Brkln) for a Skyline Conference contest at 7:00 pm.
