Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team earned a 9-0 victory over York College in a non-conference contest at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex on Saturday afternoon.

The win brings the Golden Eagles to 2-1 overall on the year as the Cardinals slip to 0-2.

The first doubles duo of Amanda Post and Alana Caporale opened the match with an 8-0 win and set the tone for the afternoon. Lindsey Charrier and Erin Hickey took an 8-0 decision at second doubles and Alexandra Suslan and Trinity Behlan won 8-1 at third doubles. 

SJC opened singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 third singles win by Caporale before Suslan clinched the match win for SJC at fourth singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

Post held on for a tenuous 6-3, 5-7 (10-2) win at first singles. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, September 24 when they visit Yeshiva University for a Skyline Conference contest at 7:00 pm.
