Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team took a 9-0 non-conference defeat to SUNY Oneonta at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex on Saturday afternoon.

The loss sends the Golden Eagles to 1-1 on the year as the Red Dragons improve to 3-0.

In the doubles matches, SJC's second pairing of seniors Alana Caporale and Mackenzie Martocci fared best with an 8-3 loss. 

Caporale was also SJC's best singles performer having dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision at fifth singles. Martocci was downed 6-2, 6-2 at third singles and senior Nora Burnett took a 6-2, 6-1 loss at second singles. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, September 21 when they host York College for a non-conference match at 1:00 pm.
