Box Score Purchase, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's volleyball team captured a 3-0 sweep at SUNY Purchase on Tuesday evening.
The Golden Eagles breezed by the Panthers with 25-11, 25-12, and 25-8 wins in straight sets and improve to 8-12 on the season with a 6-3 Skyline Conference record. Purchase drops to 3-12 overall, 1-8 Skyline.
Lauren Harmer led SJC with nine kills on the night. Deirdre Carney pitched in with seven kills while hitting at a .545 clip. Kaitlynn D'Angelo also finished with seven kills along with six digs. Setter Veronica Miessmer dished 29 assists with three service aces and libero Kellianne Dempsey picked up a match-best 10 digs.
Pamella Gonzalaz and Lilith Bastek-Ochoa both finished with two kills for the Panthers with setter Karina Media tossing six assists and finishing with a team-high nine digs.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, October 21 when they travel to face Manhattanville College at 7:00 pm.
