Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team completed an undefeated 6-0 regular season with a 7-2 victory over Mount St. Mary College at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex on Sunday afternoon.

With the win, the Golden Eagles clinch the top seed in the Skyline Conference Championship which begins this Wednesday, May 5.

Sweeping the doubles matches, SJC picked up wins via Jessica Jones and Mackenzie Martocci, 8-5, at first doubles and Haley Celona and Erin Hickey, 8-4, at second doubles. The third doubles duo of Trinity Behlen and Angelina DeMonte won by default.

Jones went on to win her first singles match, 4-6, 6-1, 1-0, and Martocci was victorious, 6-1, 6-2, at second singles. Behlen registered a 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 win at fifth singles and DeMonte won sixth singles by default.

The Golden Eagles are set to host the Knights again on Wednesday, May 5 in a Skyline Conference Championship semifinal. Match time is TBD.
