Newburgh, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team secured a 6-3 Skyline Conference victory at Mount St. Mary College on Wednesday evening.

The win sees the Golden Eagles move to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play as the Knights slide to 4-2 and 0-2. 

Jessica Jones and Angela Avecillas picked up an 8-6 win at first doubles while the third doubles tandem of Haley Celona and Angelina DeMonte were 8-3 winners. 

Madison DiPalo won a thrilling 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (15-13) first singles match, and Avecillas toppled her fourth singles opponent 6-1, 6-1.

Trinity Behlen was victorious at fifth singles (6-0, 6-3).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, October 2, when they visit Brooklyn College for a non-conference contest at 12:00 pm.
