The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team captured a 3-1 Skyline Conference win over the College of Mt. St. Vincent on the road on Tuesday evening.

Top performers

• Junior Madison Gremli and sophomore Jackie Wolf led the Golden Eagles with nine kills apiece. The latter finished with a .450 hitting percentage

• Setter Karen Barrera Carreno tossed 30 assists with five digs

• Sophomore middle Deirdre Carney finished with six kills with a .462 hitting percentage while getting a hand on four blocks 

• Libero Kayla Martin collected a team-best 19 digs

How it happened

• The Golden Eagles had their best showing in the first set of the evening hitting .316 as a team en route to a 25-13 win

• Set two saw more errors than kills for the visitors as the Dolphins went on to even the match with a 25-22 victory

• St. Joseph's went on to claim the conference win taking sets three and four by scores of 25-21 and 25-23, respectively
