Kings Point, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team was defeated, 9-0, by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in a Skyline Conference contest on Tuesday afternoon.

The loss sends the Golden Eagles to 0-4 overall on the year and 0-2 in conference play as the Mariners improve to 2-2 and 0-2.

In doubles play, the second doubles pairing of Gordon Shouler and Trinity Behlen fared best in an 8-3 defeat.

Angela Avecillas Martinez and Tyler Brock lost 0-6, 1-6 at second and fourth singles and were the only Golden Eagles to take games off their opoonents.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, April 7, when they face Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference contest at Brookdale Park Tennis Center in Montclair, NJ.
