The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team suffered a non-conference loss at Baruch College on Tuesday evening.

Top performers

• Jackie Wolf led all players with 14 kills while hitting at a .324 clip. The junior completed the double-double with 15 digs
• Junior Madison Gremli finished in double figures with 10 kills
• Setters Karen Barrera Carreno and April Sexton dished 17 and 18 assists, respectively
• Libero Kellianne Dempsey collected a match-best 20 digs

How it happened

• The Golden Eagles needed extra points to take an early match lead with a 27-25 win in the opening set
• Baruch answered with a 25-21 win in game two and used their best hitting percentage of the night to take set three 26-24
• The Bearcats broke a 15-15 stalemate with three unanswered points midway through the fourth set before the Golden Eagles inched to within one, 24-23.
• The home team benefitted from a ball handling error to claim the final point for a 25-23 set win
