The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's tennis dropped a Skyline Conference contest to the United States Merchant Marine Academy 8-1 on Monday evening. 

How it happened

• The Mariners swept all three doubles matches with Ryan Freeley and Cory Stengel fairing the best with an 8-3 score in the top flight

• Freeley earned the St. Joseph's lone win of the match taking 6-1, 6-3 wins over USMMA's Tom Chan in #1 singles
