The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's soccer team opens Skyline Conference play with an, 11-0, victory over Old Westbury on Wednesday evening. 

Top performers:

• Junior Emma Furey led the Golden Eagles with a game-high four goals while adding one assist 

• Sophomore Emily Farrington registered three goals on the night

• Golden Eagle's Erica Urbancik, Alyssa Schimmenti, Carli LoNigro, and Alexis Pasciuta all added one goal

• Junior Sienna Martinez and LoNigro each provided two assists 

• Natalie Intrieri of the Panthers collected 11 saves on 19 shots faced

How it happened:

• The Golden Eagles found a rhythm early as Furey scored the first two goals for SJLI in the first 16 minutes of action

• In the 18th minute, Farrington would strike one into the back of the net off a pass from Furey

• The first half would come to a close with the Golden Eagles ahead by four with Furey scoring the final goal of the half in the 31 minute

• In the first 11 minutes of action in the second half, St. Joseph's would score four unanswered goals to bring the lead to, 8-0

• Schimmenti, Pasciuta, and Furey collected the last three goals in the second half to solidify the SJLI victory

Notes:

• St. Joseph's recorded 32 shots in the match

• Nine different Golden Eagles recorded an assist
