The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team opened up Skyline Conference play with a 3-0 sweep of SUNY Maritime on Wednesday evening in the Danzi Center.

• Senior Madison Gremli led all players with 12 kills 

• Junior Jackie Wolf pitched in with nine kills while hitting at a .440 clip and 10 digs

• Setter Katie D'Angelo had a match-high 22 assists and served three aces

• Libero April Sexton picked up a team-best 11 digs

How it happened

• The Golden Eagles trailed early in set one with the first four points going in favor of Martime, but SJLI claimed the next six for a two-point lead, 4-6. Momentum stayed in favor of the hosts as they breezed to a 25-14 win

• The Privateers scored first again in set two, but seven unanswered points put St. Joseph's ahead 15-7 en route to a 25-11 victory

• SJLI saw themselves trailing once again early in set three, but for the third straight set came from behind and pulled out a 25-17 win for the 3-0 sweep
