How it happened:

  • Mt. St. Vincent took their first double-digit lead, 31-21, after opening the third with back-to-back baskets from Amber Been and Villegas

  • Later in the frame, a three from Ford and a couple of free throws from sophomore Emma Kelly cut the deficit to just two, 38-36

  • The Dolphins closed out the quarter on a 9-0 run to take a 47-36 lead into the final frame

  • After the Dolphins opened the fourth with a layup, the Golden Eagles dropped in 10 unanswered points capped by a layup from Ford to inch within three, 49-46, with 4:20 on the clock

  • With just about a minute left to play, back-to-back buckets from Travers put SJLI within one, 57-56
