The Golden Eagles held the Panthers to a -.079 hitting percentage in the opening frame with Wolf and Vanderhoof leading the attack with five kills apiece in the 25-18 win

Purchase held a slight lead in the opening points of set two, but a dominant 21-5 SJLI run gave the hosts a 25-9 win and a 2-0 match lead

The third set saw both sides tied at 10, but five unanswered points went in favor of the Golden Eagles creating some distance for the home team to complete the sweep with a 25-13 victory. Vanderhoof finished with five kills on seven attempts. D'Angelo dished 10 assists with five digs and two aces
