The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's tennis team picked up a non-conference win, 6-1, at home over York College on Thursday evening.

How it happened

  • The Golden Eagles swept doubles play with junior Morgan Wind and sophomore Allison Goodyear posting a 6-0 shutout in the #2 flight. The hosts claimed #1 and #3 doubles both with a 6-1 finish

  • Wind went on to battle York's Emperatriz Cesar to an 8-7 (8-6) win in #1 singles

  • The Golden Eagles secured 8-0 wins in #2-4 singles with junior Rose Ruopoli rounding out the match with an 8-2 victory in the #6 flight
