How it happened:
  • Lehman jumped out to an early lead as they scored the first eight points of the game before the Golden Eagles rallied back, with Esposito converting an and-one layup right before a pair of free throws from Justin Forest tied the game at 13
  • The Lighting would again pull ahead with a slight lead, but SJLI would keep the game close as Lehman's Parris would miss a jumper to make it a two-possession game that allowed Forest to find a streaking Esposito who tied the game at 22 on a fast break layup with seven minutes to go in the half
  • Parris would put the Lightning up five with just under two to go in the first half before McNeely hit back-to-back jump shots to tie the game at 31 entering half
  • The Golden Eagles would take their first lead of the game in the opening minute of the second half and would hold on to it until Lehamn took the lead (46-45) with just under 12 minutes of play
  • St. Joseph's would hold a narrow lead that never exceeded more than four points over the next eight minutes of the game before a Lightning layup gave Lehman back the lead (58-57) with 3:44 left in the game
  • Rodriguez capitalized on a three-point jump shot and a fast break layup to provide SJLI with a two-possession lead (62-58) with 2:15 to in the game
  • In the final two minutes of regulation, the Lightning outscored St. Joseph's 9-0 to secure a 67-62 victory
