Women's Volleyball Extends Win Streak to Four

Inside the John A. Danzi Center Gym, the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team swept the University of Mount Saint Vincent, 3–0 (25–20, 25–14, 25–13), in Skyline Conference play.

Top Performers

  • Luciana D'Ambrosio led the Golden Eagles with 9 kills, 5 digs, 3 blocks, and 12.0 points.
  • Nina Vanderhoof added 10 kills, 3 blocks, and 12.5 points, hitting .250 on the day.

How it Happened

  • Set 1: SJLI opened strong behind early kills from Tsororos and D'Ambrosio, building a 15–5 lead. The Dolphins rallied late, but a D'Ambrosio kill sealed the 25–20 win.
  • Set 2: The Golden Eagles dominated offensively, hitting .269 as Vanderhoof and Tsororos combined for eight kills. Goss directed a balanced attack as SJLI took the frame 25–14.
  • Set 3: SJLI kept momentum rolling, tallying 14 kills and 3 aces to close out the match 25–13. Vanderhoof and D'Ambrosio each notched multiple kills in the final stretch.

  • SJLI hit .198 as a team with 39 kills and 9 service aces, while holding Mount Saint Vincent to –.068 hitting.
  • The Golden Eagles recorded 9 team blocks and out-dug the Dolphins 47–36.
