- A 5–0 spurt — capped by a Rodriguez layup — brought the Golden Eagles within 30–26, before Pratt answered with timely three-pointers from Graetz and Thomas to re-extend the margin.
- SJLI continued to chip away, eventually pulling within one possession multiple times down the stretch thanks to Esposito's work inside and improved ball movement on the perimeter
- Despite holding Pratt to just nine made field goals in the second half, the Golden Eagles couldn't convert a go-ahead opportunity late, as the Cannoneers held on for a one-point victory.
