How it happened:

The Golden Eagles took a quick match lead with a 25-15 win in set one, hitting .556 as a team. MacPherson led with seven kills

St. Joseph's jumped out to a 15-5 lead in set two and held the Valiants to single digits with a 25-7 win. Foglia finished with three kills on four tries and put up three blocks

The final frame was played closely at the start, leading 14-13, back-to-back kills from AJ Esposito prompted Manhattanville to take a timeout. Out of the break, a kill from Meyer and an ace from MacPherson put the Golden Eagles ahead 18-13. Another kill from Meyer, followed by back-to-back aces from MacPherson extended the lead to 21-13. St. Joseph's held the Valiants to just two points down the stretch, clinching the sweep with a 25-15 win
