The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team dropped its first match of the season in a 3-1 setback at Brooklyn College on Thursday evening.
Top Performers
- Nina Vanderhoof led the Golden Eagles with a match-high 16 kills while hitting .394 to go along with 17.5 points.
- Alison Tsororos added 14 kills, three aces, and 19 digs for 17.0 points.
- Luciana D'Ambrosio provided seven kills and an ace, while Olivia Baumann chipped in four kills, two aces, and nine digs.
- Lauren Goss directed the offense with 44 assists, added two aces, and collected 14 digs.
- Sarah Montefusco anchored the back row with a team-high 22 digs and two aces.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs took the first two sets (25-22, 25-19) before the Golden Eagles battled back to win the third (25-23)
- Brooklyn closed out the match with a 25-22 decision in the fourth
