- The Golden Eagles trailed behind 15–13 at the end of the first quarter.
- SJLI took control in the second quarter, turning up the defensive pressure and limiting FSC to putting five points on the scoreboard.
- Madelyn Barone provided a spark offensively, while Isabelle Lebron added key baskets as the Golden Eagles closed the half on a run to take a 27–20 lead into the break.
