How It Happened
- St. Joseph's set the tone early, opening the game on an 8–2 run behind baskets from Chantelle Larbi, Gabrielle Andreacchi, and Madelyn Barone, forcing Sarah Lawrence into an early timeout.
- The Golden Eagles held Sarah Lawrence to just two field goals in the first quarter, taking a 13–5 lead after one behind strong defense and work on the glass from Larbi and Andreacchi.
- St. Joseph's continued to pull away in the second quarter, using a 15–4 frame to build a 28–9 halftime advantage as Andreacchi and Barone combined for multiple finishes in the paint.
- SJLI controlled the interior throughout the half, scoring consistently inside while limiting Sarah Lawrence to 3-of-25 shooting in the opening 20 minutes.
