Top Performers

  • Gabrielle Andreacchi led the Golden Eagles with a double-double of 19 points, going 4-for-8 beyond the arc, and 13 rebounds, as well as recording one assist, one block, and a steal.
  • Madelyn Barone recorded 10 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and a block.
  • Kallie Eichner secured seven points, four rebounds, one steal, and a rebound.

How It Happened

  • Mount Saint Mary opened the first quarter with a jumper to open the score that was shortly answered by a layup from Lebron.
  • St. Joseph's matched MSMC shot-for-shot through the opening minutes of the first quarter, but shots from Barone and Eichner set a one point lead.
  • A three-pointer from Andreacchi helped the Golden Eagles keep pace with the Knights, but a late three-pointer increased Mount Saint Mary's lead by four points.
  • A three-pointer from the Knights helped ignited the offense in the second quarter, but SJLI continued answering back.
  • Eichner and Barone continued to pressure offensively, while Lebron added points at the free-throw line.
  • SJLI battled on the glass, with Larbi controlling the boards and creating second-chance opportunities to help erase the deficit.
  • Andreacchi knocked down a triple in the closing seconds of the half to tie the game at 27-27 heading into the break.
  • Out of halftime, St. Joseph's continued to grind defensively, forcing tough possessions and staying within one possession throughout much of the third quarter.
  • Addison Dellaorta provided a key basket in the paint late in the third, and the Golden Eagles entered the fourth quarter tied, 37-37.
  • Andreacchi connected from beyond the arc in the fourth to give SJLI the lead, while Barone and Larbi added key rebounds to maintain pressure in a back-and-forth final frame.
  • With just over two minutes remaining, Mount Saint Mary evened the score at 48-48 to head into overtime.
  • SJLI continued to battle defensively and on the boards, but struggled to convert from the field down the stretch, falling 57-50, in overtime.
