How it happened:

• St. Joseph's came out firing in the first set, jumping to a huge early lead behind powerful serving (three aces in the set) and efficient attacking (.444 team percentage). The Golden Eagles cruised to a 25-7 win, limiting Yeshiva to minimal offense.
• The second set followed a similar script—SJLI built a commanding advantage with balanced scoring from multiple hitters and strong serving pressure (another three aces), closing it out 25-11.
• In the third set, Yeshiva showed brief resistance with a few runs, but St. Joseph's pulled away decisively in the middle and late stages. Consistent kills from Violi, Renniesen, and others, combined with timely service points, sealed the 25-15 victory and completed the sweep.

How it happened:

• St. Joseph's opened the match with an explosive first set, using dominant serving (six aces in the set) and near-perfect attacking (.500 team pct) to race out to a 25-7 win. The Golden Eagles controlled every phase and limited Yeshiva to minimal production.
• The second set was even more one-sided. SJLI's service pressure continued (another six aces), and the offense was nearly flawless (.706 pct), building a massive lead early and closing it 25-3 in dominating fashion.
• In the third set, Yeshiva showed brief life with a few points, but St. Joseph's responded with strong runs fueled by kills from Violi, Donahue, and Fig, plus continued serving effectiveness. The Golden Eagles pulled away decisively to finish 25-13 and secure the sweep.
