Coach Tobey Pantophlet is a dedicated, resourceful, and innovative coach with over 11 years of collegiate head coaching experience and 12 years of volleyball club experience. He is responsible for all off-season conditioning programs at St. Joseph’s College which prepares athletes for high-level in-season competition.  His experience has given him opportunities to produce and inspire many winning competitive programs.

Coach Pantophlet began his coaching career at the Long Island Blaze Volleyball Club where he was the head regional volleyball coach for ages 15-under – 18-under since 2002. A year later he became the head women’s volleyball coach at Southampton College, a position he held until 2004 when he began his coaching career at St. Joseph’s College.  Pantophlet has built one of St. Joseph’s College most successful sports programs. He has also been a participant of the Gold Medal Squared volleyball program.

This past season, Tobey’s team went 21-13 overall while enjoying a 7-2 Skyline Conference record. In the playoffs he led his team to a Skyline Conference title with a 3-2 win over Sage in the finals. The Lady Eagles advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2003 but lost to Roger Williams. Coach's teams seem to get better every year which is a tribute to his recruiting and player development abilities as well as his motivational skills. Since 2008, he has posted an overall record of 109-73 and a dominant Skyline Conference record of 40-13.

Outside of volleyball, Coach Pantophlet has held a position at Riverhead Toyota since 1980. In 1984, he received his degree in Physical Education with a concentration in adult fitness at John Brown University. His hobbies include indoor, beach, and grass volleyball, soccer, traveling and running summer camps.
