Purchase, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team earned a 6-3 Skyline Conference victory over Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY on Tuesday afternoon.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 2-0 overall and in Skyline Conference play as the Valiants drop to 0-1.

SJC was awarded two victories by default in doubles action. St. Joseph's first doubles pairing of Jessica Jones and Joan Dabalsky was defeated 8-0. 

Manhattanville picked up first- and second-singles victories, but Mackenzie Martocci won 6-1, 6-0 at third singles for the guests. SJC was awarded a trio of wins at fourth, fifth, and sixth singles by default. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, April 21, when they host Sarah Lawrence for a Skyline Conference contest at 5:00 pm. On-site spectators are strictly prohibited.
