The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball dropped a non-conference contest 3-0 to #7 Springfield College in the Danzi Center on Saturday afternoon.

Top Performers:
- Senior Mark Williams and sophomore Luke MacPherson led the Golden Eagles with six kills apiece with the latter finishing with a team-best eight digs
- Senior setter CJ Johnson tossed 19 assists while adding five digs and three kills
- The Pride was led by a 10-kill performance by Sam Levinson who hit at a .391 clip and added seven digs and four blocks
- Noah Weislo pitched in with nine kills and nine digs
- Setter Dylan Mulvaney dished 32 assists and libero Ricardo Ortiz picked up 10 digs
How it happened:
- Set one was closely played until three unanswered points put the Pride ahead 18-13 before limiting the Golden Eagles to just two points for the remainder of the set for the 25-15 win
- The second set saw St. Joseph's trailing by just one at 11-10, but Springfield rattled off six straight points to jump ahead 17-10 and cruised to the 25-17 win and 2-0 match lead
- Set three was much of the same with the two sides close as the Pride held a slight 8-7 advantage, but again a 5-0 run created some distance and the Golden Eagles were unable to overcome ultimately falling 25-19
Notes:
- As a team, Springfield hit .307 while holding St. Joseph's to just .048
- A strong showing at the net for Pride saw 13 blocks to SJLI's three
- The visitors served seven aces with the hosts managing two
