How it happened

• Sophomore Madi Beatty and freshman Amanda Andree battled to a 6-7 (6-4) win in #1 doubles. Sophomore Allison Goodyear and junior Morgan Wind took a 6-1 victory in #2 doubles and with a forfeit in the No.3 flight the Golden Eagles gained a 1-0 lead in the match

• Wind and Goodyear went on to earn wins in #1 and #2 singles, 6-2, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-0, respectively

• In #3 singles, Beatty edged out SLC's Viha Shah 6-5, 7-6 (10-8), 10-8 with Andree cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 win in #4 single

• Freshman Amalia Augustine earned her first career singles win 7-5, 6-3, 10-2 to round out the match
