Top performers

• Freshman Marc Tolkin led the Golden Eagles with two goals on four shots
• Freshman Jack Pulisic tallied one goal with a team-high five shots
• Senior James Dacos recorded three assists
• Devin Seara and Nick Pensavalle each added one assist

How it happened

• The Privateers scored the first goal of the match just five minutes into action to take an early 1-0 lead
• St. Joseph's responded just a little over 10 minutes of play later when Tolkin netted his first goal of the match off the pass from Dacos and Pensavalle 
• As the first half was coming to a close Tolkin found the back of the net for his second goal of the match when Dacos found the forward to beat the keeper to give SJLI a 2-1 lead heading into half
• As the second half got underway, it was the Golden Eagles who again found the back of the net just five minutes into play when Seara played a cross that allowed Dacos to get a touch to Pulisic, who beat the keeper with his left foot 
• Maritime would respond five minutes later to cut the deficit to one goal, but it wasn't enough as St. Joseph's held on for the victory

• SJLI finished with 20 shots, while Maritime ended with 14
• The Golden Eagles secured seven corner kicks to the Privateer's six
• Nine yellow cards were issued in the match
