St. Vincent in the first round of the highly anticipated Skyline Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship on Tuesday evening, with a final score of 16-10. Top performers: Senior Emma Lange led the Golden Eagles with four goals and five assists, to go along with three ground balls, one caused turnover and seven draw controls Senior Jamie Trowbridge posted three goals, one assist, two ground balls, three caused turnovers, and six draw controls Senior Kayleigh Mimnaugh totaled three goals scored Alicia Rodriguez led the Dolphins with four goals and two assists while collecting six ground balls, five draw controls, and causing six turnovers UMSV's Macey Forg added three goals How it happened: After the first four minutes of action, the game was tied at two before the Golden Eagles would score four unanswered goals in the remaining 10 minutes of play in the first quarter to take a 6-2 lead As both teams would be held off the scoreboard in the first nine minutes of play in the second quarter, UMSV would score two goals to cut SJLI's lead to just two goals In the last two minutes of play in the first half, St. Joseph's would find the back of the net four times to take a 10-4 lead into the half The Golden Eagle's Sabrina Doyle netted the first goal in the second half just 23 seconds before the Dolphins added two goals with six minutes left to cut the lead to just five With just three minutes to go until the end of the third quarter, St. Joseph's would score three goals in 90 seconds to build the lead back up to eight before the Mt.
