How it happened:

• After the first four minutes of action, the game was tied at two before the Golden Eagles would score four unanswered goals in the remaining 10 minutes of play in the first quarter to take a 6-2 lead
• As both teams would be held off the scoreboard in the first nine minutes of play in the second quarter, UMSV would score two goals to cut SJLI's lead to just two goals
• In the last two minutes of play in the first half, St. Joseph's would find the back of the net four times to take a 10-4 lead into the half
• The Golden Eagle's Sabrina Doyle netted the first goal in the second half just 23 seconds before the Dolphins added two goals with six minutes left to cut the lead to just five
• With just three minutes to go until the end of the third quarter, St. Joseph's would score three goals in 90 seconds to build the lead back up to eight before the Mt. St. Vincent found the back of the net with just ten seconds remaining
• The Dolphins would outscore the Golden Eagles 3-2 in the final quarter but it wasn't enough as St. Joseph's secured the 16-10 victory and move on to the Semifinals
