The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball claimed a non-conference sweep over the Pratt Institute in the Danzi Center on Tuesday evening.

  • Junior Luciana D'Amrosio led all players with a match-high 11 kills while hitting at a .447 clip. She added three digs and three aces

  • Senior Jackie Wolf knocked down six kills with four digs

  • Freshman Sophia DiPrima recorded five kills in seven attempts

  • Libero Sarah Montefusco picked up a team-best six digs

  • Setter Katie D'Angelo dished 26 assists 

How it happened
  • Pratt scored first in the opening set, but the Golden Eagles recovered quickly building a nine-point advantage at the midway point, 14-5. Behind a .500 team hitting percentage, the hosts went on to cruise to a 25-12 win

  • The Cannoneers again claimed the opening points in set two, but SJLI's lead grew to double digits at 18-8, before going up 2-0 in the match with a 25-10 win 

  • SJLI's Wolf went back to serve with the Golden Eagles leading 9-6 in set three, and a 13-0 run followed extending the advantage to 21-6. The hosts help Pratt to single digits finishing the sweep with a 25-9 win

  • The Golden Eagles hit at a .403 clip with the Connoneers finishing at -.159

  • St. Joseph's served nine aces to Pratt's three
