The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team opened up Skyline Conference play with a 3-0 sweep of Yeshiva University in the Danzi Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles grabbed an early match lead with a 25-6 six win in the opening frame. As a team, they hit .571 converting 12 kills on 21 attempts. Wolf finished with four kills with the middles Vanderhoof and Deirdre Carney both adding three

Set two saw the hosts fall behind early trailing by as many as seven, 8-1. SJLI inched back to knot the score at 9-9, but the Maccabees regained the advantage building an 18-12 lead. A couple of SJLI substitutions landed D'Ambrosio at the service line that saw 10 points go in favor of the Golden Eagles including six aces for a 23-18 lead in favor of the hosts. A few points later a kill from D'Ambrosio secured the 25-19 win and 2-0 match lead
