How it happened

  • The Rams found success early as Alexxis McNeil took a free kick for Farmingdale St. outside of the box area and put it away into the top left corner of the goal to take an early one-score advantage
  • The Golden Eagles answered back to tie the game when Schimmenti fought off the defender on the goal line to play it back into the box, where Farrington got a touch to play to Rosario, who beat the defender and the goalkeeper to tie the game in under the first 10 minutes of action
  • Both teams would trade scoring opportunities for the rest of the half, but good defense and stellar goalkeeping kept the game tied
  • In the second half, both teams again would trade scoring chances, but neither could find the back of the net as the match ended in a 1-1 draw for both team's first conference draw of the season
