Women's Volleyball Suffers Non-Conference Sweep

The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team suffered a non-conference sweep on the road at Western Connecticut State University on Wednesday evening.

How it happened

  • The Wolves created distance midway through the opening frame, 16-8, before cruising to a 25-17 win. The hosts finished with 19 kills in the set to the visitor's nine

  • West Conn continued to roll in the second set jumping out to an early 10-2 advantage. SJLI was held to a .-041 hitting percentage as West Conn went on for a 25-14 win

  • The Wolves completed the sweep with a 25-18 win in set three. Wolf finished with a set-best four kills with D'Ambrosio adding three

  • The hosts put up seven total blocks to SJLI's two
