The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's tennis team was shut out, 7-0, in a non-conference match with SUNY Plattsburgh at home on Friday evening

How it happened

• Juniors Rose Ruoploi and Morgan WInd fared best in doubles play though fell 6-4. The Cardinals took wins, 6-2 and 6-3, in the remaining doubles flights for a 1-0 match lead

• Freshman Amanda Andree took the first set in #4 singles, 6-2, but Plattsburgh's Sophia Gottschall bounced back with 6-1, 10-5 wins and claim the flight

• Sophomore Madi Beatty forced a tie break in the opening set of the #3 flight, 7-6 (9-7), however, Plattsburgh's Jacklin Mitchell earned the win with a 6-1 win in the second set
