The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball picked up a pair of non-conference sweeps over John Jay College and Albertus Magnus College in the Danzi Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early lead, 9-2, and managed to maintain a healthy distance coming away with a 25-15 win in set one

Set two was played a little closer early on, 9-7, but five unanswered points from the home team provided enough breathing room for the Golden Eagles to come away with a 25-19 win

In the final frame, St. Joseph's broke a 13-13 tie with a 4-0 run, but the Bloodhounds stayed within four points ultimately inching to within two, 23-21, but a John Jay service error and a kill from D'Ambrosio secured the 25-21 win to complete the sweep
