The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's basketball team picked up a Skyline Conference win, 73-60, over Purchase College in the Danzi Center on Friday evening.

Senior Felicia Barreiros led the Golden Eagles with 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting and added three assists

Junior Megan Spina finished with 12 points, four steals, and a team-high four steals

Four Panthers finished in double figures with Charlee Neb posting a team-best 16 points with three assists. Halle Greaige added 15 points with Carlye Graff rounding out the top three with 13Â points
How it happened:

After a layup from Spina started the scoring, the Panthers dropped in three triples taking a 9-2 early lead

A 15-2 stretch in favor of the Golden Eagles featuring five points from both Andreacchi and Barreiros put the hosts ahead 17-11 with just over two minutes left in the quarter

Purchase inched to within three, 17-14, but a jumper from Isabelle Lebron closed out the frame with St. Joseph's leading 19-14

A three from Purchase's Graff brought the Panthers to within two, 28-26, with 3:17 left in the second prompting an SJLI timeout

The Golden Eagles came out of the break with 11 unanswered points, seven from Barreiros, to end the half ahead 39-26

A three-point play from SJLI's Madelyn Barone opened the third quarter before Purchase ended their scoring drought with a layup from Greaige

The Golden Eagles outscored the Panthers 15-11 in the third taking a 54-37 lead into the fourth frame

All six Panthers that played in the final quarter recorded points as the visitors outscored the SJLI 23-19. Andreacchi knocked down six points with Isabella Sierra adding five as the Golden Eagles came away with the 73-60 win
