The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's basketball team opened up the new year with a 62-29 Skyline Conference win at Farmingdale State College on Tuesday evening.

Graduate student Charlotte Twohig led all players with 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the floor while grabbing five rebounds and posting a team-best four steals

The Golden Eagles limited the Rams to just six points while knocking down 20 in the opening frameÂ

The first seven points of the second quarter went in favor of St. Joseph's before FSC's Olivia Hoffman hit from long distance, 27-9

A three from Twohig put the visitors ahead by 21, 30-9, with just over four minutes left in the half, but the hosts responded with five unanswered, 30-14

The sides exchanged buckets down the stretch before SJLI's Barreiros closed out the half with a pair of free throws sending the Golden Eagles into the break ahead 38-18

St. Joseph's started the third quarter with an 11-0 run through six minutes while the Rams went 0-for-9 before FSC's Shyann Parker's layup ended the drought
