Modica and Williamson Named Top Honors; Five Land on Skyline All-Conference Teams

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's soccer team had five memebers named to the Skyline All-Conference teams when the conference released its end-of-season awards on Friday afternoon.

Seniors Sierra 'CC' Rosario, Savannah Modica, Jenna Ruffini, and Kristin Vahle were named to the All-Conference first team and senior Emily Farrington was named to the All-Conference Second Team.

Additionally, Modica was named Skyline Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Tom Williamson was named Co-Coach of the Year. 

Rosario, who was named to the All-Conference second team last year, patrolled the midfield for the Golden Eagles in 16 games this season, recording 18 points on seven goals and four assists.

Modica contributed to the defense in 1230 minutes of action across 15 games this season.

Ruffini took charge of the defense for the Golden Eagles in 14 games this season, recording three points on one goal and one assist.

Vahle led in goal for 15 games this season with a 9-3-3 record for this season, she recorded 50 saves, six shutouts, and faced 91 shots while only allowing eight goals. 

Farrington, who was named to the All-Conference second team back in 2023, was one of the key factors to the St. Joseph's offense, recording 15 points on five goals and five assists.


The Golden Eagles enter the Skyline Conference Championship (10-3-3, 8-1-2 Skyline), as the No. 3 seed, will host the first round of the Skyline Conference Championship as they face No. 6 seed Sarah Lawrence on Saturday, Nov 1 at 12:00 PM.
