How It Happened
- St. Joseph's opened the game with early layup from Rodriguez for a brief 2-0 advantage before Hartwick came in with a six point lead.
- The Golden Eagles was able to tie the score once at 6-6, after that the Hawks made a 3-pointer.
- Both teams went back-and-forth for the rest of the first half, with both teams only having small leads. The Hawks had the scoring advantage of 42-29 right before halftime.
- Early in the second half, Hartwick had a layup to start the scoring field, but not to long after Esposito made a layup to even the points 2-2.
- Rodriguez and TayShaun Hawkins both recorded 3-pointers which helped the Golden Eagles have an 11 point lead to make the score close with 46-44.
- The score remained close this half, St. Joseph's having a five point lead to help put them in the lead for the first time since the beginning of the first 58-53.
- At 4:58, the Hawks tied the score 64-64. Despite the back-and-forth scoring continuing between the two teams, Hartwick took the win 79-74.
